Band camp

There is what we are assuming to be a K-12 boys school about a block from our flat.  We are on the schoolyard side of the campus, so we often wake on Saturdays to morning assembly where roll is taken, followed by a morning round of calisthenics led over the loudspeaker.

Today the drum line of the marching band is practicing.  We have just passed the one hour mark of "dumdadumdadum  dumdadumdadum dumdadumdadum" overlain by the loudspeaker's "leftrightleft leftrightleft leftrightleft."

Yeah!!
