It's kinda like a snow day, but not.
Andi left the house today (a little late) at 8:30am. After picking up Molly for a car-pool into work, they drove - or rather, wound their way through side streets, alleys, parking lots, and interior roads, making wild u-turns and crazy unplanned rights and lefts for about an hour, almost making it the 5km out of Whitefield. Almost, but not quite. Realizing that they had, by that time in the morning, at least another hour of a commute after getting out of Whitefield, Molly made the executive decision and called for a work from home day.
The problem? Apparently, a city bus tried to make a u-turn on one of the main roads out of Whitefield, didn't quite have the turning radius to make it and got stuck in the middle of the road. A few minutes later, on the other side of town, a semi-truck also tried to make a u-turn, also getting stuck. And so there was, for an hour or so, no way to get out of Whitefield.
And you thought the 405 was bad.
