As most of you know, Andi and I love our ruts…. er, I mean
routines.
Although we are incredibly excited to move out of the
Oakwood and move into our own place, there are a number of really nice things
about staying here. One is the free
breakfast. The restaurant in the Oakwood
offers a very nice buffet, with an American section (pancakes and sausage), a
European section (fruit and muesli), a northern European section (meats and
cheeses), and an Indian section (idli and chutney). They also have an egg and omelet
station.
With all that delicious spread, we are such creatures of habit that
as soon as we step off the elevator, when the restaurant is still only a
distant glimmer through all the glass and hallways, the maître de starts
getting “our” table ready, the waiter starts pulling two cappuccinos, and the omelet
cook starts making two fried eggs and one omelet with everything.
Even in India we are just that boring.
